Porsche F300
Pure Passion
The first backdate from Triebwerk
The base vehicle is a Porsche 964 Carrera 2 from 1991,
which has been extensively restored and converted with great attention to detail. All components were handcrafted from sheet metal and adapted, resulting in a somewhat different vehicle that definitely attracts attention. A great deal of detailed work was invested in the visual conversion, which means that only the connoisseur can see at second glance that a much more modern vehicle is actually concealed underneath.
Technical achievements such as ABS, McPherson struts, power steering, air conditioning and large brakes are just a few of the many details that come as standard. The modern LED headlights from Kaege at the front ensure that the night is as bright as day and illuminate the road perfectly. The result is a fantastic car that guarantees every conceivable driving pleasure. Almost all the work on the vehicle was carried out in-house, including the engine and gearbox construction.
Performance
A fully revised, performance-enhanced 3.6-liter boxer engine with 300 hp (F300) provides the appropriate drive.
In addition to the general overhaul at the highest professional level, numerous modifications were made which guarantee enormous riding pleasure. For example, a single throttle valve system with freely programmable injection and ignition system, specially developed by the DTW team, was fitted. In addition, the DTW team, in cooperation with Meisterwerke Autosport, has developed and designed a completely new fan manifold exhaust system. Top performance is guaranteed here!
Interior
The interior has been individually redesigned.
The instruments have been extensively modified and shine in the typical F model green, with a touch more elegance thanks to chrome-plated trim rings.
A Porsche Classic radio with Bluetooth, navigation system, hands-free system and removable, space-saving subwoofer are used to provide a sound experience.
The interior has been perfectly coordinated with the finest brown nappa leather and light brown Alcantara upholstery and shines in new splendor.
The electric windows and the electrically height-adjustable seats are, alongside the center tunnel, one of the few details that show the connoisseur that this is actually a newer vehicle.
Exhaust system
Together with our development partner Falco Hollmann from Meisterwerke Autosport, we have brought this Backdate exhaust system to the market. We have managed to combine performance, perfect looks and quality in one product.
One of the catalytic converters is fitted with a heating jacket, which makes the installation of an additional heater for the interior and TÜV approval superfluous. The installation space of the 964 was scanned and the exhaust was designed to fit perfectly into the existing installation space. Even with a converted rear carrier from the F model, there are no space problems.
Brake & Chassis
We replaced the rear brake callipers with the more powerful C4 4-piston callipers.
All parts are of course overhauled to DTW standards. The brake booster does not get its bottom pressure from the intake manifold as in series production. With the single throttle valve system, we have a low intake manifold pressure when the valves are open and therefore a loss of braking power. For this reason, an electric vacuum pump with control unit is fitted to guarantee a constant vacuum. Even if, like Walter Röhrl, you operate the accelerator and brake with one foot at the same time. This car not only accelerates excellently, but also decelerates with ease.
The F300 leaves nothing to be desired when it comes to the chassis.
A rebound and compression adjustable Bilstein PSS10 suspension, which was developed in cooperation with Walter Röhrl for the 964, finds its place on the Bright Fuchs rim imitations in 9×17 with 225/45 tires at the front and 11×17 with 275/40 tires at the rear and performs its service more than reliably. Incidentally, Walter Röhrl personally test drove and hand-signed the F300.
Gearbox
The G50 gearbox, which Porsche installed in the 911s from 1989 and which guarantees true shifting pleasure, was completely overhauled by us. All syncron rings and bearings were replaced.
