From the G to the F model
From the 1982 G model back to the RS lookalike and a bit more:
When you decide to reformat a nine-eleven, many philosophies have their place. This backdate here has it all: with a 3.8L 964 engine, DTW injection and exhaust system as well as the right suspension and brakes, even the smallest drive becomes an experience.
As a used sports car that was actually ready to drive, this G model came to us with the task of refining the technology and also the appearance. Basically, the base and the previous conversions were already quite good. In the interior, there were more visual improvement ideas. We reworked and renewed the carpet, the upholstery work on the seats and the dashboard. We gave the gearshift a proper shift gate cover. We completely overhauled the instruments with new dials, whereby we kept the background of the rev counter in matching orange. We removed the drive and visually refurbished it after a pressure loss test. We adapted an EMU Classic control unit in the original housing to the original wiring harness. In combination with our DTW exhaust system in ST look and the perfectly tuned maps, the drive has developed into a real powerhouse. The whole thing is decelerated by a large brake and damped by a very well-tuned Bilstein suspension.
Conclusion: all in all a great vehicle, which our latest YouTube video now documents once again.
