Secret performance ...

The 964 had already been parked for several years when Stephan Rohleder, co-owner of the engine, discovered it for sale in a workshop in Mallorca. Following engine damage, the engine was removed and the car was parked. Stephan recognized the good condition of the base and decided to buy the car without further ado. After importing it back to Germany, we partially dismantled the car to completely repaint the exterior. During the revision of the engine and the gearbox, we did not leave the technology in the series. Inspired by other vehicles that had already been converted, this one was also to be converted to the tried and tested DTW engine management system. For this vehicle, we came up with the idea of making this as simple as possible and, above all, invisible. This resulted in an adaptation that makes it possible to replace the Bosch Motronic with the freely programmable control unit from Triebwerk .

Interior

The interior had the typical 964 cracking on the cheeks of the mounted turbo seats and significant wear on the carpet. The rest was in immaculate condition. The interior was therefore restored very quickly. The instruments were overhauled.

Chassis

The C4 has been lowered by 20 mm using the appropriate H&R springs. The hardness of the shock absorbers has been adjusted in collaboration with Bilstein. The set-up ensures firm damping at high damper speeds and the necessary comfort at low damper speeds, i.e. when driving slowly.

Motor

The displacement was increased to 3.8L during the overhaul. The original ignition coils and distributor were not removed. The distributor was fixed by the use of insert plates. The EMU Black control unit fits into the original housing once the circuit board has been removed. We analyzed the wiring harness and adapted it to the original connector in the housing. The result is that the 964 is now completely freely programmable with the original wiring harness and you can't even see it. The engine has also been completely overhauled, has sharper camshafts and a higher compression ratio.

Gearbox

When we imported the car from Mallorca, the technology was in very poor condition. It was immediately clear that we would take the gearbox apart and have a look inside. This decision was absolutely right. Now the gearbox looks perfect and has been technically overhauled down to the last detail.
